Yes, I know.  I am way too slow this year at updating.  But, here I am now.  Take a look what we've got going on at Da Moose!

Huge news! We are on the menu at two Bloomington restaurants:

Upland Brewing Company.  Go there to try our exclusive bacon/maple ice cream.  They serve it with a piece of crisp bacon dipped in dark chocolate.  Awesome. 

The Owlery.  Local and fairly new vegetarian restaurant.  Our new super creamy coconut milk vegan ice cream is waiting for you.  Try it in a root beer float!  

We will also be on the shelves at Bloomingfoods and Sahara Marts soon.  Stay tuned on that. 

And, we are about to open the gift and coffee shop next door in the formerly Lefferson's shop.  We will have indoor seating.  Yes that means open year round from now on!  Get your treats at the window but then take them inside.  In the dead of winter we will even have servers in the seating area to bring the treats to you. 

Also in the "Leffersonian" we have a fun gift shop with CM ice cream bowls, spoons, scoopers, stuffed moose, t-shirts (kids sizes now) and more.  Come check it out.  We will be having birthday parties too which will include a Moose employee to shepherd the kids through the games so Moms and Dads can sit back and enjoy the time. 

Plus we will have a Stonecutters coffee shop (mini) in there also!  With tasty pastries from Erinn Williams.  You will love it.  Speaking of Stonecutters, they are also supplying us with incredible coffee concentrate and you will LOVE the Stonecutters coffee ice cream we can now serve you.    (I like a dip of it plus a dip of Moose Chocolate on a waffle cone.  Sort of a mocha combo.)

Speaking of waffle cones.  We now have waffle cones and bowls for the first time in Chocolate Moose history!  Come try one for 75 cents.  Cheapest waffle in town I'm pretty sure.

Greetings one and all.  Da Moose is open for business!  We have some new surprises for you all this year.  It's going to be a great year at Da Moose! Read on:

We now have a line of Ice Cream cakes that are available. Call us about Ice Cream Cakes now!  Steve is working with local (top of her Sullivans' culinary class) baker Erinn Williams to create amazingly delicious ice cream cakes.  We're starting off with a few and building from there.  Picture chocolate cake with Grasshopper ice cream.  White cake with Strawberry.  All home made flavors.  It all means one more reason to call the Chocolate Moose your ice cream home!

There will be an online ordering form soon.  Plus we are working with some area businesses to offer Chocolate Moose made, specialty ice creams for their restaurant.  Everyone wins.  Keep watching the adds for details.   

Now the biggest news yet.  We are taking over the building across from our order window, where the movies are shown on the wall and turning it into a CM gift shop, gourment ice cream bar and ice cream sandwich shop, birthday party room and more.  It will have some limited inside seating to be able to stay open all winter, but the original Moose will still be there.  We are not closing it. 

Plus we will now have Steve's famous (well, will be) chili every day and a special soup du jour too.  He was the soup man for a catering biz and scratch makes the most awesome soups.  Come by for a free sample.
